We currently have a vacancy for a SEND Teaching Assistant for our Speech and Language Unit.
The Governing Body of Overfields Primary School wish to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant for our Speech and Language Unit, to start ASAP. We are looking for a talented and dynamic Teaching Assistant who is committed to making a real difference to the lives of the children in our school.
The post is a temporary part-time position. 17.5hrs per week (4.5 days) at Grade D Term Time only. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 12.15pm (including a 15min unpaid break)
Salary Scale Grade D Point 8 – 11
The Speech and Language Unit provides provision for pupils on a full time and part time basis. It consists of:
– Foundation Stage 4 place part time support base
– KS2 10 place full time support base
– KS1 10 place full time support base
– Outreach Provision 10 place
Children are fully integrated with support on an afternoon into mainstream classes at Overfields Primary School.
The successful candidate will be a flexible member of a team of two teaching assistants and three SEN teachers. Experience across the curriculum EYFS – Year 6 would be an advantage. This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the extension and further development of an already outstanding provision.
