School Day
School Opening Hours
Overfields Primary School is open to pupils from 8.45 am to 3.15 pm. This provides a total opening time for pupils of 32.5 hours per week.
Arriving at School
Children should arrive between 8.30am and 8.40am. As the playground is only supervised from this time, please ensure your child does not arrive before 8.30am. There is no formal supervision from staff until the doors are opened.
School doors open at 8.40am for children to filter into school and close at 8.50am.
Children are not permitted to use the playground equipment, including wooden activity trails and tyres without staff supervision. It should not be used by children under the supervision of their parents or carers. We also ask that no balls are brought onto the school site and that everyone using a scooter or bicycle dismounts at the gate. The safety of our families, pupils and staff is our prime concern.
Please note that after 8.50am the Site Manager will close the school gates.
Late Arrivals
Once doors have closed , all children arriving after 8.50am will need to be brought to the main reception by an adult to be signed in and will be registered as late. This will appear on your child’s attendance record. Please try to ensure your child arrives on time.
